CeBIT: Mike poster

Welcome back to my (nearly) live report from this years Debian booth at CeBIT.

We got asked very often, if they can buy this nice Mike poster. Unfortunately we lost the original and can't remember who the poster designed. But we have a jpg-File, which is good enough to print it on DinA3 (and even more if it doesn't mind you to see all those pixels).

You can find it at Joeys site: http://www.infodrom.org/Debian/mike.html.

CeBIT: Thanks Cindy!

For those of you, who have never been at CeBIT: There are some newspapers which are printed especially for the fair. Normally you try to not get them or just throw them into the next dustbin. But not this morning!

Cindy
Margolis is using Debian

This is page one of the Messe Zeitung. The text reads in a rough translation like the following: Headline: Open for everything. Second Headline: not only Super model Cindy Margolis is using Linux. First sentences of the Text: If that isn't a reason for Open Source: Super model Cindy Margolis works since several years with the Operating System Debian, a combination of the Linux-Kernel and components of the GNU-Project [..]

Of course most men will only look at the picture, but at least, she wears a shirt with swirl and Debian at a prominent place ;)

CeBIT: If you think, we are rude then please tell us at once!

Today I heard via several hands on irc the following:
hell, you debian guys are represented by some pretty rude jerks at CeBit.

Why don't you tell us this, when it happens? Instead of running away and complaining later on irc?

I try to be nice to all visitors and even give nice, charming and funny answers to really stupid questions, but since there is something which I call "fair effect" it might happen, that you think in a different way about this, than me. It's quite difficult, to be friendly all the time, especially if you are surrounded all the time by quite noisy boothes.

So, if I was rude, I apologize for it, but please tell me, if I was.

And if it was Ganneff: Don't be afraid of him. As long, as he had have enough food, he is okay... in some way or another.
